I'm not knocking them, they probably followed Oprah's play book that there is not much a private citizen with money can contribute DIRECTLY to public education.

It's a joke. I sit in a meeting, there's a psychologist, a parent advocate, counselor, chairperson, assorted teachers, maybe a social worker, I count the x dollars being paid in salaries, sitting around that table, and someone has to sell cupcakes or a bottle drive to buy a kiln.
