From NASDAQ to OTCBB: How short is the step?

Dear Friends,

I've a doubt about how long a stock quoted under $1.00 can stays on Naz before to be exchanged on OTC BB market.

I know (maybe I'm wronging) that the period can change from 6 to 12 months.

Could you help me?
