email virus

Hello Mr. Blaster:
I am using Pest Patrol myself and can highly recommend it. I also remember hearing good things about Kerio, which if I recall properly is a software router that learns your programs and provides good protection without taking up too much CPU overhead. Good choices all. Well, take care Mr. Blaster, good luck in the markets today. Steve46

My computer was acting strangely and so I got on ET and asked about a free antivirus software. I got one and activated it. My computer is 4 years old and had never been scanned. There were 8 separate viruses on the machine. Is this a guiness record of something, i.e., trading on a computer with 8 viruses.

Hardly, one of our computers which opens the bulk of the e-mail had close to 125. The secretary chose to turn off the virus scan for incoming e-mail because it took too long.

Hello Mr. 46, nice to talk with you again! Yep, Kerio takes up a lot less overhead than more well-known products like ZoneAlarm. In fact, all the above suggestions are low-overhead products which is partly why I like them. They just quietly do their thing without bothering me or my CPU!
