I am trying to find out if QuantQuote runs and operates the Caltech Quantitative Finance Group behind the scenes. i.e. Are the reviews on Caltech real or fake?
I was looking into buying some historical stock data for a new project from Kibot and found this review:
When I contacted Kibot to ask about the quality of their data, they replied with the following answer:
Can anyone confirm or verify if this is correct?

I was looking into buying some historical stock data for a new project from Kibot and found this review:
1) Kibot - This vendor is notorious for its poor data quality. Numerous group members have reported very poor experience with Kibot. Problems include missing data or just completely incorrect data (errors like negative prices and incorrect dividend adjustment formulae have been reported). We strongly recommend this vendor be avoided.
When I contacted Kibot to ask about the quality of their data, they replied with the following answer:
Hi Robert,
thank you for your interest in our data. The review on "quant.caltech.edu"
is written by our competitor in order to get traffic from Google searches
and redirect people to quantquote.com. You can research popular trading
forums and find many similar negative comments about Kibot and other data
providers always followed by a link to quantquote.com.
I can send you sample data for your analysis and some of the instruments are
freely available for download from this location:

Best Regards,
Nenad Oric, Kibot

Can anyone confirm or verify if this is correct?
