I set the background to white, then black. No dead pixels.
They just recently changed warranty from 90 days to 3 years. Likely they started making them with new screen... perhaps Philips or Samsung?? It might always be the luck of the draw if quality control lets them out with an "acceptable number" of bad pixels. I guess you have to look for someone with a "zero dead pixel" policy... Cornerstone??
I probably wouldn't remember, but you might make a note to ping me in 60-90 days or whenever..
