So I've been using OpenOffice Calc on my Windows XP Pro (SP3) machine for years. I've been getting real-time market data through DDE from ThinkOrSwim desktop to my OO Calc spreadsheet. Things have been great.
Now for some reason I thought it'd be a good idea to move on to Windows 7 64-bit, for more ram. I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit, and reinstalled TOS and OpenOffice Calc.... but no DDE works. I just get #N/A!
It seems to work with Excel, however. But for whatever reason, the DDE formulas in Excel are all static, I can't reference other cells. It's the strangest thing.
Is anyone running DDE links with OpenOffice or Excel in Windows 7 successfully? If so, how are you doing it?
Thanks. I might have to just reinstall Windows XP again. This is just terrible...
