Daytrading Gold/Silver

I currently trade forex and I am thinking about diversifying in to gold/silver.

What are traders thoughts on daytrading gold/silver?

Are there many traders making consistent profits doing so?
 
Its OK daytrading gold/silver, more action in trading OIH & GOOG though. Metals get boring mid-day.

I usually trade metals from 7.30AM until NYSE opens and then maybe into the NY metals close.
