Cramer on 60 Minutes tonight

Quote from Cramerholic:

Cramer haters are so funny. Filled with jealousy and anger for someone elses success. If cramer's calls sucked his hedge fund wouldn't have had annualized returns of 24% over 14 years, he wouldn't have been asked by the premier business television network to host a show about stocks solo. Maybe you don't see other hedge fund managers with a show because they are still running their funds and/or they aren't as entertaining as cramer. If I ran a hedge fund made good coin and wanted to retire but I still wanted to do something that made me happy I would do it, this show makes cramer happy, I don't see what's wrong with that.

Don't hate

Don't worry about it. Consider your initial ignorance of the game (which will lead to some harsh and costly mistakes) as tuition on the road to success.

I find it funny that someone defends Cramer on this board with such enthusiasm...What kind of person would devote time on this board to such a narrow and worthless speculation???

Did anyone notice how much younger Cramer looks now than years ago when they were showing pics of him at the hedge fund? He was one worn out 40 year old back then.

Quote from Avalanche:

The piece wasn't on trading or "real traders" it was on Jim Cramer. What do you expect a documentary...they have 10 min on the back end of the program to fill.....

If they put Cohen, Drukenmiller or Okin on then 99% of the viewing audience would likely turn the channel. My next door neighbor even knows who Cramer is and she's probably 75-80. (isn't that 60 min's target audience?)

Anyway, I enjoyed it. :D

You hit it on the head. Cramer's show on CNBC is watched in about 300,000 households nationally. To put things in perspective thats 1% of the number of households who watched Cosby when he was #1 years ago. My guess is a top rated local news broadcast in NYC claims more viewers. If I wasn't in the business I wouldn't know who he is and certainly wouldn't want to sit through any more info than what was given. 90% of America is very bored by anything to do with trading.

cramers show got a million dollars of free publicity by an opposing network last night. those viewer numbers will go up even though he is already the number 1 show on cnbc. he has an appeal.
