compuer problem-always disconnected

recently a problem has appeared.I get disconnected from the internet about every 1 1/2 hours.

Im using Comcast high speed cable internet which is always on.There is no problem w/ the modem.

anything I can do to solve this?its really annonying to have to reboot my system every 1 1/2 hours.

I had that problem once using a Lynksys router. Once I updated the firmware the problem stopped and never returned.

that doesnt help me much.

anyone know if there is a set time progammed in any computer for disonnection from the internet?as in every 90 minutes?

is there a way to change/delete that?
