I just don't get it...We took out Friday's low too...what(who trades?) motivates ES to gap up like they did a few times just to be slammed during the day? I am not perturbed as I am short via options but the market, as usual, puzzles me.

Gaps are always worth paying attention to... they often act as support or resistance when filled.
The next couple of days will determine if we sell off for the rest of the year. Watch tomorrow or Wednesday. Target SP 3000-2800...
