We know how the crusaders were recruited.
That is an interesting point about killing muslims, jews and heretics...I wounder to what extent it was true..

but none of that counters the point that for about 500 years before that... the muslims had been invading Christian and other's lands... taking christian women as slaves, converting by sword and taxes.

It might not counter your earlier point that the Muslims were doing rot, but the Catholic "Christian" Crusaders themselves had unclean hands. They were as rotten as the Muslims they were trying to kill off. There is a word for that: HYPOCRISY.

None of us were here trying acting like all the popes were great people back then.
I was simply pointing out it was not the Christians were started the invading of the others land.
