If it helps, I got the email as well. I only have one quote line that is NOT coming from CME and that's a vix futures line from CFE - not sure if these are CBOE ONE sourced or not...or if they just sent it to everyone.
I have the impression that IB has sent it to anybody who is using an older version of TWS and/or Gateway, irrespective of whether you use that CBOE One data feed or not.
Not to me. I keep upgrading my desktop version to the newest version each time. Hardly ever had an issue. I am more careful with my mission critical gateway through which my api connects.
You can be sure that if IB mentions TWS in their messaging they implicitly also mean Gateway. So your "mission critical gateway" and your api might as well be affected by this IB message.
