Bullish IMO.
Last week's slaughter was UP despite the plant shut-down?
At some point I think the 30-50% hog loss in China will trickle into increased prices for the meats. China's freezers & other suppliers to china will start running dry at some point. Eventually more exports for U.S. beef/pork.
I don't think that will change until China reports that they are restarting US ag imports. The Asian swine flu helped the lean hog futures a month or two ago, but it didn't help the beef. And China has South America as an alternative source to import beef.
But I have to tell you, I am fascinated with this interplay of supply and demand. I love it.
