U Ubertrader Jun 19, 2006 #2 Can't remember what the tax is called but it is approx 27% capital gains The 'impot de solidarite sur la fortune' is a sliding scale...for 2006 it is x% of anything over â¬750k, I beleive it is between 1 & 1.75% per annum of the difference, so if your net worth is â¬1mill then it is 1-1.75% of 250k see the link http://www.impots.gouv.fr/portal/dg...AVARXAIV1?pageId=particuliers&espId=1&sfid=10 it is ISF 2006 France is a nightmare for taxation!!!! get some real advice before you move here!!! regards
