Canadian Housing - Vancouver

I have been waiting for a downturn since January so I give up. I am willing to look at something for the long term.

Does anyone have any predicitons regarding the Vancouver Housing Market, or in the suburbs.
 
I think the housing prices have begun too slow down abit. But I don't see them dropping anytime soon either especially with the 2010 Winter Olympics around the corner. I know this year everyones BC Housing Assesments went up, more than the usually increase and made alot of people upset, means you'll be paying higher property taxes this year)... And I don't think the subprime mortage issues in the US will affect the housing market up in Canada.
