Can TS2ki read an ASCII type chart data directly or does it need to be in GS?

Hi again,

One other question for any Tradestation 2ki users. I am using TS2ki as an EOD tool. I am finding a lot of data gaps and IPO symbols not being there on historybank.com. I was looking for free EOD data. I read somewhere on this forum that TS2ki can directly read ASCII chart data without data being imported into GlobalServer.

Does anyone know how to have TS2ki read data directly rather than it being imported into GlobalServer or use HSQuote with TS2ki. I would appreciate any comment on using TS2ki to get free EOD data from yahoo finance or a free source like HSQuote.

Any other comments are appreciated.

in the symbol selection window just choose "3rd Party Directory".
Then add the directory in which you saved your ASCII files with "New Dir...".
