If you buy and others follow with further buy orders the price should go up providing there is little to no sell pressure or an iceberg order on the offer. You will not suffer losses because someone buys after you buy.

Supose the ES. You enter the market at 2019.00, and I want to enter at 2018.25. My buy order limit isnt forcing you into adverse selection and 3 tick of losses?

Correct, your buy limit does nothing unless price trades down to 18.25 and you get filled... 1st in 1st out in the queue line.
