Best bank/firm combo for overseas trader

Hi, I'm from Australia. I'd like some quick input on whats my best option for a US bank

- I'm looking for low transaction fees, I dont care about interest generated - my stock account will do that.

Basically I want to be able to move money from Australia to my stock account every now and then and vice versa. So what's my best option?


I'm currently with TD but most likely moving to IB. Regards,

Iam also a non US non resident.Used to have account with TD waterhouse (singapore),OXPS.But now only IB.
reason not because of banking but for the best direct access broker with the lowest brokerage.
