Bamboo

Bamboo is an amazing resource - more & more homes have bamboo floors & furniture. I have bamboo growing in my yard - it creates an strong natural wall that is easy to mold & it contains the runoff of the topsoil, ideal for sloped borders which I use it for.

I had looked for bamboo stocks some years back & never found any in the U.S..

I'm all in bamboo, underwear and sheets.
Bamboo all the way!!

i swear, bought one of the cheapest bamboo undershirts I could find on Amazon, and it's incredible (had never worn bamboo). This is going to be the new cotton I feel. This is why I want in, I've redone a house in bamboo floors, but I don't think that moves as much volume as fabric would.

I do wonder if there are bamboo dimensional lumber applications similar to plywood and/or 2x4's (though tough to beat steel I think).

When I was working as an employee, I had shoes or boots on all day long and suffered from hot sweaty feet. I changed to bamboo socks and it was way more comfortable.

Any one got any leads on going long on this? Textiles, I feel, are a game changer

I don't know about textiles... but bamboo flooring is hard to beat for the price, durability, and the look you get. Its about 30% cheaper than oak and its certainly a more sustainable source as compared to say a 50 year old oak tree. Bamboo grows pretty fast. Its good stuff. https://www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring-Hardwood-Flooring-Bamboo-Flooring/3-8-In/N-5yc1vZbrfeZ1z12x3s

Know what else its always been good for in the backyard?
Its infrared signature. Best place in the world to hide a few dozen.... whatever that other plant's called. :D
