they are hopeful they can rollout their list of SSF's

in 35 days - 45 days

I guess if they meant trading days that would be sometime
in November.

Also ... I think prop firm traders would need to pass a test
showing trading proficiency in futures to be allowed to trade these products ...

I might have misunderstood the NFA / CFTC rules as explained
here .... I know as an independent trader I do not have to worry about tests but perhaps when they talked about those with series 7 and 3 exams needing to pass this new test it referred
only to those who would try to sell the SSF idea to customers.
seth, most likely, if you have a series 7 and you want to offer SSF to clients, you will need to get a series 3. And if you have a series 3 you will need a series 7.
Also ... for some of you this might be of interest
Initially no market data fee
no fee to give liquidity
30 cents to take liquidity

my quote button didn't work,
Seth, most likely what they mean is if you are a series 7 broker, you will need to get a series 3. And if you are a futures broker with a series 3, you will also now need a series 7.

So let me ask this question please, I apologize if it has been answered elsewhere - in the case of a Single Stock Future, does this mean that if I am long or short the stock itself I am going to have to keep track of the SSF also?

Or is there no reason to be long or short the stock, but rather be long or short the SSF?

Or can I continue to do as I do now, and not pay attention to any futures because I do not daytrade, therefore I am not subject to the intraday gyrations of a market that is already very dissociated from reality as it is?

Is it possible to earn a living playing Bingo?

it stands to reason that the futures will have a PREM in relation to the individual stock. What I am interested in is whether the SSF's will trade prior to the stock market open, so that we can "check the futures" on an individual stock.
