Exactly who did you think was going to lay down on these stocks? The spec? The Nasdaq crowd? The MaChInEs?
Whenever I've had an edge, I knew where it was coming from, and sometimes but not always, why. Not just that it was 'there'.
Hey, if you are seeing a real edge in these, more power to ya. IMO, shorting the sho stocks is not going to be much diff than banging the futures in most cases.
