Because they are rich, they are presumed to know what they are doing, and have fewer restrictions on what they can invest in.

Which is complete BS. The only thing it really means is if the person loses a lot of money, they still have more. Accredited investor stuff needs to be flushed down the toilet. Stop protecting people from themselves.

Funding is coming from friends and family. Someone mentioned accredited investors, I'm not interested in them at this point. I think I have all the info I need for startup, thanks for your advise, most have been very helpful.
