Any part-time trader here with a proper day job?

I work 6 hours a day.

I swing trade only.

The market opens at 4am ish hawaii time, so by the time I wake up, I can already enter orders in for the day.

I have about 2 hours before I have to start work.
 
I am a Toll Collector on the New Jersey Turnpike.
I have WIFI in the Booth. With the exception of a few fumes, it's a great working environment. One of the collectors on the Southbound booth trades the emini's as well.
 
I'm lucky in that I don't answer to anyone but the owner and he doesn't care what I do. As long my job gets done. My problem isn't "hiding" the trading but dealing with the inevitable and seemingly non stop distractions and interuptions.

I'm in a similar situation, except that I'm not quite so far west, so the markets open a bit later here. Still, they open early enough that it's possible for me to watch the markets for a bit in the morning, then head off to work/school. I have a pretty long journey ahead of me before I'll be able to contemplate trading full-time as my sole job.
 
I have a part time job working in a customer support for one of the biggest european bookmakers (sports betting, on line casino and poker) and I day trade futures only from home. I would never day trade from work as I am often on the phone with customers and it's too hard to focus on price action. If you want to swing or position trade while at work I think it's okay to trade like this.

I am an analyst at my firm and I trade pretty much all day..... but I also work my ass off after trading hours to get my regular work done in a timely manner. Then I go home and do research and analysis for new trades and positions.

All in all, I work about 16 hour days combining both. I am targeting later this year to start out on my own.
 
I trade technical indicators using EOD data - which takes me about 45 mins work every night. No need to watch what goes on during the day, stops & limits take care of that.
