Listen, I am a fan of his now...so we are on the same side. But the above quote is ridiculous. That is the mentality that led hundreds to their death in Jonestown. Ignorance isn't bliss...ignorance is pain.
My favorite author is Dostoevsky...and one characteristic of his novels is that the antagonist is always very very smart. He doesn't make straw men to glorify his beliefs...he makes steel men to truly test them.
