I don't really have any specific questions. I am just really after like-minded people to talk to during market hours. Share ideas and get feedback from.
What sort of analysis are you using your trading?
So all my analysis is based on the xjo chart and I have a hole bunch of stats based on some setups on the xjo. For example I know 61% of the time the high or low for the calendar month is in the first 3 trading days, stuff like that.
Nothing fancy I have known points where I know the market won't trade around that point. Above and I have + delta below and I have negative delta on the portfolio. These points can either be reversals or continuation levels.
I like to use range bars as well, think they are a great way to cut out noise. I can day trade when market conditions are right (2020 etc) but majority of positions are at the close.
I use IB as my broker although when aussies where banned from using margin accounts I used City Index trading cfd's. Which broker do you guys use?

Are you entering and exiting at the close, and then holding for a larger move?
I have been using IB for a number of years and I continue to use them for my stock trading. At the moment I am only paper trading futures on ninja trader. But I don't think I will be limited by IB margin restrictions. I am clear to trade futures on IB

Mostly yes as the signals are based on xjo close. Not all of my trades are based on the index having to move. So long as it doesn't cross above/below the level then the options I have sold at that level will expire worthless.

I am more of a short scalper but always looking for one great setup to stay in for a while. I trade off the DOM attacking resting orders in the books. I sit on a 3 second chart watching Bids & Asks to see which way to go while trying to front run HFT Algo's. Maybe I'm behind but I need to move as fast as I can to survive.
