It seems tiny (a bit above 20k underlier) and the margin is only 2k. Doesn't look like a big one...

But for IB, it seems like the margin requirement is crazy just for one contract? I dont know this platform very well, but it seems the margin required for this is 45,000? and the maintenance is even more. am i right here?

your screenshot shows vix from CFE exchange , somewhere in US.

vstoxx is available from Eurex exchange , somewhere in Europe.
margin requirement is rather low (around 500 eur )
I wouldn't touch vstoxx ; volume is very low
