MetaTrader 4 demo/real is a standalone charting/order entry program available from several brokers. MetaTrader 3 demo only from Alpari can be linked with TradeStation 2000i for realtime data including history updates, similarly I use MetaQuotes as a feed for MetaStock — pm me if you want a copy of MetaQuotes.
