America's billionaires get a lot richer

The population of affluent and wealthy individuals in North America will grow 24% to 37.7 million by 2010 from from 30.4 million in 2006, according to Celent. The report expects this affluent group to control over $19 trillion in assets by 2010.
In the report, Wealth Management in North America: Clients, Products, and Providers, Celent takes a snapshot of the wealth management industry at the start of 2007.

It is if you look at the total population, that's how these categories are derived.

This is the upper 80 to 90 percent of the population.
