The problem with Alpari UK is that even if they are FSA regulated they ask you to sign an agreement saying that your are an "intermediate Trader" (I think it is the exact term or maybe it is adanced trader, but anyway).
And then because of that you loose the most interesting part of FSA regulation. If Alpari goes bankrupted you will be placed in the common pool of creditors.
Otherwise thay would have to manage your money in a separate account.

That's why I don't do business with them.

FSCS is an independent body, set up under the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000 as the UK's compensation fund of last resort for customers of financial services firms. This means that FSCS can pay compensation to consumers if an authorised financial services firm is unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it. Our service is free to consumers. Authorised firms are those regulated by the UK's financial watchdog, the Financial Services Authority (FSA), or previous financial regulators.

AFAIK: Intermediate customers are excluded from the
"Financial Ombudsman" thing but not excluded from FSCS.
