Air, Tetris and Blackberry are all entertaining origin stories

Just watched all 3 of them, they are pretty much in the same genre, the origin of their subject matter presented in a funny and entertaining way. There are inaccuracies in them though, be warned. For example it wasn't Michael Jordan who was first offered a % deal in the NBA, but Magic Johnson (who has deeply regretted not taking the deal ever since) a year earlier. 100K stocks when Nike was 10-30 cents.

"As Vaccaro tried to raise some factual issues with the movie, he says, Guber leaned in and said, “Remember, Sonny, it’s not a documentary.”

I would throw in The Informant with Matt Damon as a 4th movie, a bit older one but it is the origin story of one of the first and highest ranked industry whistle blower. Pretty funny too.

I well remember the Blackberry Storm problems and the sense that they had made a major error with trying to take the click too far when haptic vibration was adequate. We chatted in the office about what was reflected in the movie that it was a little embarrassing.

The earlier Blackberries were great though, for the time just brilliant engineering and I have never been able to type as quickly and accurately on screen smart phones.

I really enjoyed "Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game 2022" also, similar vein.
