I am a full-time options trader that is looking for some additional analytics capabilities. I currently trade through Schwab and use Dynamic Trend software, but they are beginning to not keep pace with the changes in the industry.

My particular needs: I need the risk profile to be able to handle an unlimited amount of inputs/positions. Currently, I can only view 8 legs at one time. I also need the theoretical value of the risk curve to update in real-time on day of expiration or 0DTE options.

Additional needs: Somehow, I need software to keep up with the cost basis of the individual legs of a position.

For example: SPX - purchase debit spread. Turn into Butterfly by selling credit spread. Buy back half of the credits. Then sell 25% of debit spread. Let's say this all was done within an hour. Without calculating by hand (manually), I need software or some type of excel add-in to keep the cost basis of each individual leg in real-time as various transactions are made. Schwab/TOS/Dynamic Trend does not offer these capabilities. TOS does have unlimited risk profile input capabilities but not the cost basis.

I am looking for additional software or a programmer that I can hire to get the set up that I need.

Via Schwab/TDA API you can get all/any order, position and various account data, as well realtime (and some historical) quotes, and do whatever you like, ie. an external program on your machine that uses the API can do what you want.
You would need to ask an experienced programmer to do it for you.
He/she will need a specification of the requirements, ie. what you want to be coded in the program.
I know the TDA API well, and heard that Schwab will be offering the same API (since Schwab has acquired TDA).
You could ask me to do it for you, but I'm not cheap... :D

Thank you for your reply. I hear what you are saying and I know that I am going to have to pay for programming. I would like to discuss further with you if you do that type of work.

Have you asked chatGPT or Google Gemini to write it for you?

I tried a few of the excel VBA subroutines chatGPT wrote for me and they actually were OK.
