Active Option Traders, what is your preference?

When you trade options, do you prefer to use:

I also want to group it with trades I have closed out. So that i understand the full performance of the trade thesis.
 
I am usually whipping out 20-30 option trades per day when I am at home on the desktop app with all of my tools in front of me, but today I was flying and only made 1 trade on my brokers mobile website over the airplane's Wi-Fi. And it was management of an open position. I just couldn't get into the zone while trading on a mobile device.
 
Another further distinction on the desktop would be whether one needs/prefers a "platform application" (ie. a standalone desktop program like TWS, TOS etc.) or just a web browser...

I have index vol-arbs that need to be closed as discrete/COB-orders. I get that Robert is talking down to anyone who needs to group index positions, but there are aspects to the biz unknown to him.
 
That was not my intent. As others were doing, I was saying what I do and what is important to me. Everyone should search for the tools they need. And most of what you say and do is "unknown" to me. Same with sle. I never claimed to be the smarted guy in the room. I'm good with that.

Can't confirm. Desktop WebBrowser application is much like a desktop application. Mobile Apps are limited in display space etc.
 
I have my positions grouped by ticker and sorted by DTE and I trade everything manually.

But this thread gave me an idea. You could just model your book as database tables for each expiry and then just use SQL like statements to manage them.

But that would be for hedge funds with a team of developers and the budgets. I don't think that my broker platform is going to be capable of that anytime soon.
