I think they give a free stock also.............................................................Never have used them but short term traded their stock.
SCHW + IBKR are good ones, most any could work OK except Etrade+ that may have changed since MS took dominion over Etrade.
HOOD stock is doing much worse than SCHW, Year ToDate

Zero commission accounts are fine but you pay extra in spreads so you need to do maths for your particular strategy
I didn't like the ThinkOrSwim platform at first. Maybe watch some videos on how to configure it. It took some time, but once I configured it, it was a gamechanger. Mine doesn't look anything like the default platform.
Do your research and pick the top 2. You can always move in the future. I recommend you have at least 2 brokers... from time to time a broker will go down just when you need to trade.
