I have the Tesla wall charger in the garage of my personal home, which has two 240V cables running into it, and that charges my car in about 4 hours...

Never heard of that charge time in my life. He must have some issue with his house electrical setup.
I rented a house at the beach a couple years ago, and I had to use a regular 120V electrical outlet in the garage to charge my Tesla and it took about 24 hours to fully charge from being almost completely dead. That's the longest I've ever personally experienced.

The Tesla superchargers they have located near major interstate exits across the country charge my car in about 20 - 30 minutes.
