3+ Monitor set up

I've seen Matrox quad pci cards on ebay for less that 100 bucks.

They usually go for a bit more.... make sure to get cables. If you have to buy them separately, you'll be surprised at the cost.

going off the subject a bit.. - there are a good number of posts here about mult-monitor setups but not many on the newer 42+ displays - the costs seem to be nearing parity, i.e. per square inch of "screen real estate" - what are the negatives with these bigger screens vs multi-monitor (on the positive side, i count at least no need to deal with graphics cards etc.).

You can run more monitors than 4.
If you have 2 free PCI slots and get 2 dualhead Matrox cards (G200 PCI?),
that will work and for less than $100.
gnome,
Do you still have any monitor cards remaining from when you last bought a bunch for ET'ers?
If so, what brand & model, price, and best use?

Thanks

I already have a dual monitor card so if I run a another that is g200 then I can run 6 on one computer

is there any amount of memory and anything else that would limit the amount of monitors?
