    Why Traders Fail????

Many traders suffer from paralysis of analysis (too much data, too many indicators). Develop and plan that works for you, a plan that you can write on paper and strictly follow. Don't let emotions get in the way of a trade decision. Work with a firm that supports and educates you and provides...

    Pre-market trading

Check out the ARCA trading hours: http://www.nyse.com/equities/nysearcaequities/1157018931781.html Their morning auction starts at 4am EST. Just because a broker/trading product offers ARCA, doesn't mean you can trade that early though. It's up to the broker to set the time they want...

problems Market and limit Orders after 3:40

You should never use market orders before or after hours. Many of the same order execution rules don't apply and your liable to get a fill way out of the current market. Even during market hours, it's now always a great idea to use market orders. I've always suggested to use price + or - a...

    Auto ECN stops help!

Typically when you use an "auto" route, the software or execution server picks the route to use based on current market conditions and the specifics of your order. If a route is used that supports stops internally, usually you can walk away from your computer with the comfort of knowing your...

    trader question

I can't answer for WTS and Sterling, but we are associated with two clearing firms, Penson and Jefferies. It is very easy for us to get short locates from both clearing firms (we can usually do everything via IM very quickly). But both firms have extensive short lists to begin with. Check...

TRADESTATION SUCKS THE BIG ONE Don't USE THEM!!!

When a broker is limited to their own in-house trading product, customers don't have a choice. I would suggest using a smaller professional brokerage firm that is software neutral, which gives the customer a suite of market data/trading products to choose from. Consider ProTradeFinancial.com...

    Dealing directly with clearing firm...

Here are two big advantages of using an Introducing Broker Dealer (IBD) and NOT the clearing firm directly: 1. Economies of scale. The IBD will negotiate better rates with a clearing firm due to the larger amount of order flow and usually that means lower rates for clients. 2. Customer...

    What is the Wizetrade inicator?

Not sure of their exact strategy/settings, and I'd be surprised if you find it, but I believe you are correct in that it uses macd with different time periods to produce results. And if a security shows "green" on multiple time periods, they produce a buy signal.
