I disagree completely. I'd check your ISP because my FA Thin quotes (via the internet) are NOTICEABLY faster than my Hyperfeed satellite quotes. The quote latency over the internet is nowhere close to a few seconds. In actuality it is roughly 35-100 ms depending on your ISP plus 50 ms or so...

Theres a story here on www.traderbulletin.com that says NexTrade can display its ECN orders on both superMontage and the ADF. Does displaying on both venues actually help, or improve fills. If so how? Mind you NexTrade isn't the world's most liquid ECN to begin with.

Yeah but they still have to be cancelled manually by the specialist's clerk. It definitely takes more than a few seconds on average to get an out, especially for 100 stocks.

If you're really doing 20-25 million shares a month then .003 is understandable. For the rest of us, .003 is a pipe dream. Any broker that would offer under .005-.006 per share for all but the biggest traders is either: (a) desparate for business to stay afloat, (b) close to insolvency...

What firm are you with? If you're getting the .005 rebate no matter what then what's the problem? Do other people here find that TRAC pays less than the advertised .005 rebate?

If you join a non-NASD proprietary firm (like Lieber & Weissman for example) you generally only need the series 7. NASD firms, like Hold Brothers, also require the series 55 (and some the series 63) to trade professional leverage (firm capital).
