    Gap Fades

Thanks for your detailed reply, gnome. In your long experience of trading bear markets, do you find that gap fades are, on balance, high probability trades provided there aren't signs that a tradable rally has begun? Further, how do you pick a decent entry point for such trades? Thanks...

http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2008/06/one-method-to-flush-out-oil-speculators.html In one instance, however, the speculation premium was "successfully" tested - in the silver markets in 1980 when the Hunt brothers attempted to corner the market. As silver approached $50 an ounce in January...

    T3400 Deal of The Week!

Hi, gnome Would you recommend a 10,000 rpm Raptor over the latest 7,200 rpm SATA2 drives for a trading rig? Do you use a Raptor for any of your PCs? Would the choice depend on whether charting, as opposed to trade execution, is a main function of the PC? No gaming, video encoding, etc...

Is Raid 0 worthwhile for day-to-day trading?

Anyone here using a RAID 0 (striped) hard disk configuration for everyday trading, eg, X_Trader, charting (but not backtesing)? Do you notice any material performance enhancement? As a general rule, does trading software access the hard disk a great deal?
