    Keystone Trading training

I appreciate hearing from anyone who has taken Keystone Training Group's (based in NYC) 2 day training course. Did you find it to be worthwhile and a decent value?

    Prop Training

Being cautious by nature, I'm am wary of scam artists in the prop industry (which I'm told is rife with them). I'm particularly suspicious of prop firms that that offer you to come trade their capital (with no money up...they are making money off of you via commissions and keeping a portion of...

Does anyone using Sterling Trader Pro platform have any comments, feedback, opinions, etc. about it they could share. Thanks.

    keystone trading group

I received the same invitation in an e-mail solicitation. I believe they misstated their rate on it. It said 20 cents per thousand shares. Their website says .002 which, of course is 20 cents per hundred. Never heard of HLV Trading. Is it a purely day-trading, commission churning bucket...

    Orion Financial LLC

Thanks for that Cstfx. I have viewed their website but there's not a whole lot of info there. Anyone else know anything about them....commission rates, leverage, who runs the show?

How do you guys on Trader P/L thread do it

A lot of you who post on the Trader P/L thread have such great results. I don't expect anyone (and wouldn't ask) to reveal any secrets about your strategies. But I was wondering if some of you would educate me, in a general sense, on what trading strategies you employ. I learned the business...

    Desperately Seeking Prop Firm

Someone...anyone? Somebody must know of a prop firm out there that has an office in the Phila/South Jersey area (other than Centurion...which I believe requires at least a $100K deposit). As for one that will allow you to trade remote with no money up, perhaps that doesn't exist. Anyone???

Looking for a Good NYC Prop

I notice this on this site so often that I think it's important to make a distinction because there seems to be some confusion about the definition of what a "proprietary (prop)" trading firm is. Somewhere along the line, the same term started being used for two very different types of firms...

    Desperately Seeking Prop Firm

paraphrased from another thread.... young independent trader wannabe with no capital to risk at this time (but not without some positive trading experience...equities, options and futures) seeks reputable prop firm either based in Philadelphia area or with branch office there abouts, that...

Need help sorting thru the prop firm maze

Thanks to Lescor, Don and everyone else for their replies. You all make valuable points and provide me with much food for thought. It seems clear I should do my homework and not make a hasty decision. As a young person with a family, basically just starting out (though not without some...

    Capital contibutions prop firms

Generally speaking, and I hope this doesn't sound cynical, but if you are a new and unknown quantity to a prop firm and you decide to put up say $25-50K so as to get a bigger split of the profits (90-100%), wouldn't the firm likely cut you loose if you lost your stake, before the firm was in too...

Need help sorting thru the prop firm maze

Another thought. Generally speaking, if you are new and an unknown quantity to the prop firm and you decide to put up say $25K, so as to get a bigger split (90-100%), wouldn't most firms cut you loose if you lost your stake, before the firm had too much of a chance to lose their own capital...

Need help sorting thru the prop firm maze

Thanks, Curve. What are the names of some prop firms that allow futures trading (especially ones that don't require a capital contribution). The firm I'm talking with is equities only.

Need help sorting thru the prop firm maze

Brazil, I was told if I made money and wanted to leave a portion of the payout behind in the account, the future payouts could go as high as 90%. Commissions likewise are negotiable based on volume. My experience is I'd rather sit on my hands and wait for a setup in my strategies than...

Need help sorting thru the prop firm maze

I would certainly read all the fine print before signing on but, as far as I'm aware, there is no language of a personal guarantee or having to make up for losses from personal capital outside the account. My understanding is all initial capital risk is on them. If I lose from day 1 and they...

Need help sorting thru the prop firm maze

Hello all. I have recently begun considering trading thru a prop firm. I have virtually no experience with them. I have sifted thru this thread trying to gain some insight. What I've read gives me reason to pause. There seems to be such a wide range of "deals" and many speak of getting...
