    Best Route for NYSE Now

Two questions for the all-knowing ET'ers out there... 1) What ECN or Exchange offers the best execution speed for NYSE-listed Hybrid stocks? NYSE ARCA INET or EDGX ? 2) Does ARCA now route to DOT for instant execution when DOT (or the specialist) is the best available price...

    Interesting Prop Firm

This press release ( http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/030226/phw013_1.html ) was on Yahoo. I looked up the firm on ET but all I could find about it was a brief reference on another thread. The company's rates are really low and being able to send and automate orders directly from Neovest would be...

Finally!!! Someone offers First Alert with order-entry built in! This seems like it would be soooooo much faster for filter trading!

    NYSE Data Monopoly

TraderBulletin.com had a story today about how the NYSE is preventing traders from viewing OpenBook quotes in a level II window along with ECN, regional, and NASD quotes. To me this is ridiculous. If we pay good money for NYSE data we should be able to view it any way we want. This is a...

    Where's the money at?

This thread is so contrived I think I'm gonna ralph. Didn't you FNYS guys learn anything from Andover's lame attempts to stealth spam Elite Trader???

    Trading in Hawaii

What firm do you trade with in Hawaii and how bad is the internet latency from there (i.e. what's your ping time to your execution provider)?

    Susquehanna International Group

There's three reasons why we don't use Susquehanna for bullets: 1. They're too damn expensive 2. Their minimum bullet quantity is too high 3. They're too damn expensive (opps, said that already)

DEF - IB should use Susquehanna as Bullet firm

Right, but is there a faster way than this? Like I said, the fills are instantaneous.

DEF - IB should use Susquehanna as Bullet firm

We use tera term for our bullets and it's quick. You type in the symbol and number of shares, hit <Enter> and you're up instantly (i.e. < 1 second). How much faster can it get than that?

    Heavy Hitters in Pro Firms

Heeeee haw. Who let the dogs in!!!!! I wish I could say this is suprising. Echo has always been a Bright wanna-be from the get go. (Although I don't know why anyone would want to be). The problem is that Echo offers nothing you can't get at any other BD on the block. What they should...

    Software platform for Bright

REDI Products (SLK) says that REDIXpress is for traders who "submit in excess of 300 trades a day and need a trading system that can keep up with that pace." This is tantamount to admitting that REDI+ isn't efficient enough for highly active traders. The truth is, whether you do 40 trades a...

Instinet to Buy Rival Island for $500 Mln

Maybe you're getting ripped Chis. Some firms like IB offer all-in rates...in which case you'd pay nothing (0) for all ECN fees. But obviously the ECN pass-throughs you pay is meaningless because your base commission could be 2 cents a share for all I know. And don't forget, some people make...

    san diego firms shutting down??

Hee haw, You girls at Bright and Echo are like a bunch of babies fighting over a lego piece. During presidential elections many people end up disliking BOTH candidates because of their endless--direct or indirect--disparagements of each other. That's the way I see you two firms. I'd...

    Bright Vs Echo

I hate mud-chucking as much as the next guy, but please remember 3 things when you're slapping wrists over "personal attacks": (1) Your standards must apply to everyone--EVEN THE SPONSORS OF THIS BOARD (2) You should take the time to read the posts of the members who provoke the "personal...

Limit-NX feature on NYSE stocks kills volatility

lescor, Whether you are routing to other exchanges ain't the point my man. Regional exchanges (and other ITS participants) can squeeze in between you and the NYSE bid (or offer). When they do, YOU CANNOT NX that bid or offer. For instance, if you try to route an NX order to take an...
