    CNH trading

To follow up on my own post it looks like SGX has the best spreads/liqudity. The contract is UC and the trading is most active during asian market hours. Unfortunately, I don't think I can trade the contract on IB. I get rejected with error "Regulatory Restriction". Strangely it appears I...

    CNH trading

What is the cheapest way to trade the RMB? On IB I see: USD.CNH (cash) CNH (globex futures) CNH (hkfe futures) I'm looking to put on around $100K-$1MM USD. I prefer futures contracts due to generally being a cheaper trade to finance versus cash, however the futures seem to have virtually no...

IB: To HKMEX,NYMEX,NYSELIFFE traders: Thu Aug 25 13:54:57 2011 EST As a result of the continued volatile trading environment, please be advised that exchange margins and/or house margins are likely to increase overnight and over the next couple of days, particularly in the metals. For...

Huge UNFAIR increase of prices for data of NYSE stocks

I wouldn't count on a reversal of their stance in the short term. The NYSE has just gone through the process of forcing these fees down the throats of a few of the brokers mentioned. At least one other broker I know of has had these fees in place for at least 6 months. I'm hoping to find...

Huge UNFAIR increase of prices for data of NYSE stocks

If it's a streetwide charge, then how come I can get the data from RealTick without paying that much? Sounds like NYSE has targeted certain types of brokerage firms.

Huge UNFAIR increase of prices for data of NYSE stocks

I'm just looking to get OpenBook via an uncrippled feed for 1 or a small set of symbols at this point.

Huge UNFAIR increase of prices for data of NYSE stocks

As a customer, what broker do you use to get openbook for $60 via an API?

Huge UNFAIR increase of prices for data of NYSE stocks

But up until recently Genesis wasn't. It also didn't cost close to $2k/month for last sale and inside quote data. I'm sure there are brokers out there that don't charge these fees (yet?).

Huge UNFAIR increase of prices for data of NYSE stocks

Can anyone recommend a broker who can supply the NYSE OpenBook data feed for something more reasonable than $5k/month? No replies about how useless the data is please.

    FIX broker

Do you have a short list of prop firms that you're looking at? I guess I could consider that avenue, but I'm afraid of it because I have no experience. Do you have to comingle your money with the prop firms? Are you comfortable that the prop firm will not try to data mine their traders...

    FIX broker

I was able to bypass the ITG guy and get in touch directly with a RedSky person. $100 port charge for FIX and competitive commissions. Sounds promising.

speculatus, what broker do you use for FIX order routing?

    FIX broker

I put an inquiry in to Red Sky and wound up getting an ITG sales guy who said they only open accounts for institutions with at least $50M in assets.

    FIX broker

My code is in Java so I'm not really looking forward to integrating a C/C++ or COM API... that is going to take weeks and I've already got a working FIX engine. IB charges $100/mo for FIX if they'd actually set me up and not ignore my requests. I'll try MB but I've already stated why they...

    FIX broker

Maybe I'll check out MB Trading... I was scared off because of this thread: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=102412&highlight=mbtrading Some more negatives: 1. They don't list connectivity to BATS, BTRD, or EDGX on their commission page 2. The $4.95 MBTR...

    FIX broker

I am currently using IB's Java API via TWS. My strategy trades very sporatically, but when it does it's important that the trades go through or else opportunity vanishes. Over the past year or so I've had too many failures where TWS ends up not sending my order. The latest one has a...

    FIX broker

Some additional info: - I'm a small fish... trade 50k-100k shares /month so I can't afford guys like Lava & NeoNet - Access to a smart router like IB's 'BEST' is a plus

    FIX broker

Can anyone recommend a broker who allows clients to submit orders via the FIX protocol? I'm having a hell of a time getting IB to set me up with access and I'd like to explore alternatives. Thanks
