    CLFD - Clearfield

Yeah, that is probably true. If you're long, you only care about the reason it's going down. If you're short, you only care about the reason it's going up. I wish I had the gift some people have where you can just stick all of your money in an index fund and never look at it. Just can't help...

Well it has stopped vibrating, so I have that part covered. I'm sure it will go up like a rocket next week! :)

Market Keeps Stopping Just Short of My Orders

Are you a successful trader? What is meant by 'Opportunity Cost' and 'Values'?

Market Keeps Stopping Just Short of My Orders

When you say, "And we have kept up on a daily basis.", what are you reading or researching to keep up.....any specific resources you could point me to?

    CLFD - Clearfield

Thank you for the breakdown. To be honest, I bought based on it tanking, combined with seeing all of the positive numbers such as a top IBD ranking. I did not put much effort into it, so I deserve what I get. Just hoping it will go up, a little bit, some day. I had about 25 stocks on a watch...

    CLFD - Clearfield

I haven't used this EliteTrader site in a long time.....it's such a strange place. :) I didn't say where I bought it, or how much. I'm going to be ok. I am just wondering if anyone sees anything I'm missing.....some reason it may go up for a change, or some reason it may tank even more. If it...

Market Keeps Stopping Just Short of My Orders

I've already been burned to a crisp. I wouldn't do it again if I had the choice, but the past is the past. Forward!

    CLFD - Clearfield

Anyone have any insight on this stock? Worst investment of the year for me.....any signs this thing will ever bounce? In 14 weeks, it's gone straight down every single week, except for a couple bars that were barely green. Anyone know why it's tanking, and if there's any chance it will ever...

Market Keeps Stopping Just Short of My Orders

Thanks....never even heard of 'adverse selection', but putting that into a search engine leads to all kinds of interesting stuff. It's really humbling to learn how little most of us know once you see all of the complex operations behind the scenes. Not sure it would help anyone's trading, but...

Is There a Resource Showing Source of Daily Trades?

I just want to know who "Everyone" is, not their intentions. I'd like to know where all of the volume comes from when a stock trades during the day.

Is There a Resource Showing Source of Daily Trades?

I used to think that. I'd like to know who all the players are. A peek behind the curtain.

Is There a Resource Showing Source of Daily Trades?

TSLA traded 155 million shares today. Is there any way to find out where those trades originated? For instance a breakdown showing: 20% retail traders, 15% hedge funds, 15% mutual funds, 20% pension funds, 5% insiders, 25% options-related, etc. No direct trading reason for this....just always...

Market Keeps Stopping Just Short of My Orders

And now to show my ignorance, when using Think or Swim, why is the DOM nearly empty whenever I pull it up? Shouldn't the price ladder be filled with orders for big-name stocks such as TSLA? Every time I pull it up, it looks like a thinly traded penny stock. I'm talking during trading hours, not...

Market Keeps Stopping Just Short of My Orders

I'm sure it's just my brain noticing all of the negative instances like some stated, but it sure seems like it happens a lot. My last trade did happen to be an after-hours trade, but that's rare. I bought MSFT at the end of the day to hold overnight, but I became neutral on it, and put a sell...

Market Keeps Stopping Just Short of My Orders

I'm trading a tiny amount, but so many times price comes within a penny or a few pennies of my sell price, and then reverses. What on earth is going on? I'm talking something like 200 shares of a major stock like MSFT or TSLA. Is there only me and two other guys trading, and all of the market...

    Margin Interest Calculation

That answers my question, thanks! I didn't realize you can even use leverage without interest if day trading only. I would still prefer to have a cash account where settlement wasn't an issue, and I could trade more actively. I got myself in trouble in the past with margin accounts.

    Margin Interest Calculation

Rookie question...been a while since I had a margin account. I don't really want a margin account, but I like to trade on a daily basis at times, and that's not possible with a cash account. If I have a round-trip on day 1 in my cash account, and then a round-trip on day 2, I get a Reg T...
