    Fighting the Tape

Just curious if anyone has any ideas why one fights the tape. I see myself and others in my trading group call the moves correctly, only to try to buy a selloff 2,3,4, or more times on the selloff. At the end of the day, we ask ourselves" I knew it was going down today, why was I so persistant...

    Stoxx News

Do you guys think that one should even trade the Stoxx open at 2:00 AM CST. Or just wait untill NY opens , it seems like the most volitility is after 8:30 AM CST. Just trying to figure the safest way to go about my transformation from Mini Dow to Stoxx. Also it seems easier to follow Us...

    Dax Contract Value

Peg leg I have heard from friends that the Dax is not as liquid, why would people choose it over the Stoxx. Probably just for the size vs. the commisions I suppose. Ya I think the Stoxx fits my style the best right now. Thanks

    Dax Contract Value

I'm Currently investigating trading the Euro Sotxx 50, and I know that the contract value is $10 * the index or about $25,000, can anyone tell me what the Dax contract value is. It seems like commissions on the Dax are about the same, so if the contract value is double, assuming similar...

    Euro Stoxx 50

No Idea Bell Hey Guys my clearing firm says theres a 30 cent fee through Eurex or some german bank, and 35 cents through them. This per side, so I'm looking at $1.30 a round turn. Is that comparable with what your paying through IB. Its a little less than what I'm paying for Mini Dow. KGB

    Euro Stoxx 50

Thanks for the info, Seirra Charts and IB, is where I'll start my search. How rock bottom are the commissions. How can Seirra Charts be $42 for 6 months. CQG is like 500 a month. Sounds too good to be true. About the cancelation fee: Say I;m 2568 bid for 2 and I cancel my bid they charge...

    Euro Stoxx 50

I'm thinking about trading the Stoxx 50, because I think the volitility/commision rate is better than the Mini Dow. The problem I'm having is determining which charting system is the most economical, and which firm will offer the cheapest rates. I really only need the basic charts, nothing...

    Bright trading new commission model

Hi Don. I've been trading Dow futures for about a year and I'm a little fusturated with being limited to one market, rather than a handful of stocks. I'm looking at possibilities outside the futures markets. I currently have my series 7 , although it expires Aug. 14, 2003. I am interested in...

how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

No offense to any pit traders reading this, but having experience myself in the pit, the vast 97% of pit traders are just glorified thieves and beggers. They suck brokers ***** to get customers orders and steal markets made by real traders who stick they necks on the line and acually step out...

    Clerk on the CBOT

I'm looking to start trading for myself on the floor, I just don't know the wait or possibilities for getting a backer, as it sounds like the most common route in. I'll have about 20K in 12 months or so. I was told from the trader that I'm clerking for that I will need about that much and then...
