Andy, imo it's not so much the question to find an honest broker for BO's, because even if you'd find one you will be in a huge disadvantage these instrument will but you in, simply because of the way they function. Why not looking for a good Forex broker that offers CFD's.

What I noticed is a huge delay to get filled even with small orders. A 500 share cfd market order for an actual liquid stock takes sometimes around 30 to 40 seconds to get filled. If the market runs away in my direction during that time the filling price is usually not in my favor. I think here...

Not everybody likes to put money on someones account you literaly dont know. For me the trustworthyness is the big issue here.

Lets assume a broker works with 2 different clearing firms. Firm A has a very short list and firm B has a better list of shortable stocks. Does it depend more on the clearing then to provide stocks for short selling transaction, or is it still the broker?

I use short OPG's each and every day and so far never had a cancelled order due to an uptick rule violation. The opening print is the very first print of the official trading session. How can there be an uptick, or downtick? Im not aware of a rule like this for OPG's.

Hi, in my case its very rare that I dont get filled at the official closing price. I use odd lot orders all the time, so this should not be an issue. Time I get filled is always between 4:00:00 and 4:00:01. But this is for Nasdaq stocks only! NYSE is another story and the same might be true...

Im using StockTickr's Bot to automate and trade my signals thru IB. Of course there's always something to improve, but overall Im happy with the performance. I think it should do its job with Sterling too.
