+1 for an insightful and contrary point of view. The "American Dream" certainly has shifted over the course of history. American has (compared to other nations and compared to the 250 years prior to this 250 years) achieved social mobility for its patriot and has defended to keep certain...
Gambler: I suggest you look at the one pager and read Spyder's threads. You are making up a lot of stuff.
As far as PVT goes, I have followed (and sometimes do) follow it when I have the time. I don't see nearly any of your trades qualifying.
If you are doing well, please consider the fact...
Let's assume a perfect morality. A perfect God's (redundant terms) values would be congruent with that morality.
Man's picture of God will on average always be less than perfectly accurate. So if we are using the loose, baggy, intellectually unrigorousness, and often illogical depictments of...
I agree in principle that one should have the freedom to live as they want to, so long as one does not take away from the living of others around them.
Would you also be the last person to say if something is religious, it is moral? Would you say some things that are religious are not moral; and some things that are moral not religious? --> Yes
If there was(is) a G(g)od and he went on public record enumerating his/her/its principles of...
Hi Jem. Before we discuss morality, we need to define "good". Has "good" been formed by law, culture, or religion or has it always just been? Whose definition of "good" will we use? Nature's? According to Plato and others, man's natural state has often been "bad".
I am the last person to say...
You are not comparing apples to apples, but apples to spaceships.
Gay human relations are the result of two consenting individuals.
Animals cannot consent. Even if they can, we can't accurately measure that consent. So, it cannot possibly be moral for humans to have sex with animals...
Unless we are talking about a robo trader (which I know exist, but are few and far in between), you obviously want to be trading the higher accuracy setup.
Please do yourself a favor and run a monte carlo on 10,000 trades and see if you feel comfortable taking 50 losses in a row.

Brother man there are no shouldas, no couldasi, and no wouldas in trading nor in life.
The phrase "next time I will" because of "so and so" may be a better model for reprogramming your brain than lamenting the past.
Wish you the best with finishing school and getting back. Hope you find...
You are incorrectly assuming that any 8 or 30 stocks you may select are on average, average performing.
The truth is depending on your selection, you may significantly under perform the index as well as outperform.

I would like to addend your phrase if you don't mind.
"Stay in at least a 3:1 positive:negative ratio with all people you are around. People always have a choice to behave badly, but by keeping your relationship with them in a positive balance, you mitigate the probability of poor behavior...
I should save $30,000 dollars allowing for a $5,000 cushion in case I experience a drawdown.
Don't try to take shortcuts; either go prop or just save up. If you can't get this amount together, work on the strategy and keep saving.

We managed to program this using the "tick" version he described for more accurate data. I'll state the issues I encountered with someone whom I worked on this with on equities:
1. It is profitable not including commission, with a PF from 1.5 - 2.5 on most issues.
2. As soon as commissions...
Bwolinsky, I do not believe you have read Spyder's thread judging from this response.
The method most are trading, you havn't coded. I am sure someone has told you this before, but I want to point that out again because many guys are doing PVT and Spyder never claimed the watchlist generator...
Jack, you have quite incorrectly misinterpreted my response as negativity. I think Spyder's threads detailed an exact method and wasn't phishing anything. By the way, if you ask a few of the posters at TLAB or check the thread you would know I trade the method all by myself (and that is fine, I...
Hi Jack,
I have been trading the beginners equity method and wanted to ask you a very brief question.
I see you have simplified the whole thing with the 1 pager you have posted several times.
If I may...
1. Does the FRV have to be maintained every half hour to stay in the trade or...
I installed trade navigator the other day and am having some issues with using Spyder's scan.
After getting to the filter page and double clicking it displays 7972 total stocks, but says there are 0 stocks which meet any of the filter criteria.
Is anyone else having/has anyone had this issue?
I guess I will update to anyone who may be still struggling trading the method.
Working with a friend of mine, we are able to take high probability scalps on open using Nuke's method for most high priced stocks or stocks with big ATR (a prerequisite due to comissions).
The limitations of...
