This would be my take on the chart. You don't want to be looking at the divergence with a view to taking a short. If there is a counter trend move which is possible but it might also just unwind the divergence with some sideways action, you should be eyeing this chart to see if it pulls back...

Well as much as anything, it's in a longer term down trend and has been consolidating for a few days (excluding last weeks spike down) and simply it broke out to the downside of that consolidation, takes out the stops, brings in new shorts and off we go. Happy days!

On the back of your question I seriously advise you to do some homework before you start trading these. Whilst trading is trading, your question implies you have no knowledge of bonds and yield curves so I would suggest you do some research!

75k is more than enough to get started with. The way I see it is you're young, not really enjoying your job despite the decent income and if it all goes tits up (which your job might anyway) then you're still young enough and hungry enough that you can bounce back. Go with your gut feeling...
