How many of the Elite are short?

the paper millionaires were not trading "old economy" stox during the bubble....not going to get into my market manipulation diatribe...but also think it is was much easier for the PPT to keep up 30 stocks versus 50000

How many of the Elite are short?

Has anyone bothered to compare the volume on the July move down in the S&P to the this current move up? If this market is so strong why are the Transports, Brokers, Semis and Russell acting so pathetic? Wreaks of distribution gentleman and a 4-yr cycle low is a coming.

How many of the Elite are short?

and I love the paper millionaires who lose most of their net worths when a market actually declines more than 10% off its highs. Last I looked the Nasdaq (which was a true mania)is still about 50% away from the March 2001 high.

How to hedge currency risk as a retail?

just talked to a mate of mine who works on the retail/private bank FX desk at a major institution. Quoted it to me at around 11% or about 22K. Figuring they add about a half a percent markup. Obviously a bit cheaper (bout 3K) if you do an option on the ATM fwd. Assuming if this person has...

How to hedge currency risk as a retail?

Why don't you just do it through options? Vanilla AUD put/USD call should be realtively easy to do if you have an account with a bank's brokerage arm like SSB..they may even do a 5-yr fwd for you on that amount if you are a good enough customer

New Zealand Dollar Drops After Central Bank Sells Currency - where is George Soros ?

Again I stress the situation in NZ is nothing like the ERM crisis of the early nineties. The RBNZ is selling their own currency and probably is only looking to accumulate reserves at good levels and stem the appreciation of the Bird. I still think a history lesson is in order for all of...
