Does anyone know what happened to OpenTick?? I get "could not find opentick.com"

Try Telechart from worden. You can get a free 30 day trial and the data goes back to the mid 80s for most stocks. Database consists of around 7000 stocks. You can export all the database to csv/txt/ascii files that you can archive.

Yahoo and Google end-of-day data will do the trick (and its free). But if you prefer a pay service, try TC2000 from worden. I have been using it for over a decade. I pay around $20 a month for Gold with 2 year subscription.

You can only buy the data from the NYSE. It is one of their premium products. I have never found a third party distributor. good luck with your quest and let us know if you find it elsewhere.

Are you using daily, intra-day, or tick? The larger the data the more storage becomes an issue.

Thanks for the links. Look back through this thread. Someone recommended the stocks edition from pitrading. $159 for 1000+ stocks including 450+ ETFs going back to 2002. I looked at analytichouse, but they want $500 for 125 ETFs only going back to 2008. I guess they limit the dates to save...
