Hi, Has anyone spent much time tracking how closely the EUR/USD combo trades to the CME 6E contract? I know futures don't correspond exactly to the underlying, since they're a derivative used for hedging etc., but wondered if anyone had studied it closely on a tick-by-tick basis. Thanks

I have (had) AMP with Dorman, and yes their statements are impossible to decipher. I just look at the start and end amounts! For the rest, check NinjaTrader's execution reports.

Hi, Who here has run an automated system that performed as well going forward as it did in backtesting? Over at least a few months anyway. If you did, how long a period did you backtest over? I have had a lot that failed (call them seminars), some that broke even, and some that made money...

Exactly. Friendly talk between employer and employee is just there to mask the fact that they would get rid of your ass at a moment's notice if they could get the same job done cheaper, and the fact that you are just there for the money and would dump their ass just as quick if something easier...

Kinda feels to me like when it bounced between 1000 and 1040 for ages last fall, before finally making up its mind to head higher. I think we'll see a ~40 pt range for a while, before heading higher again to 1250, and then correcting big-time. I know, my powers of prediction are awesome :cool:

Nah, I don't see the old high being taken out this side of another correction. Greed and fear will set in long before then. I stand by my prediction of 1250. The bull still has a ways to run, but not that much further. All shorts will be squeezed out by then. It's when everyone thinks it...

It's a very interesting situation. I once heard a quote that makes a LOT of sense: "A trend can go further than anybody thinks possible". Seen that one play out again and again. All the big players know it, which perpetuates trends. At some point the bears will come back, but it might not be...

AMP is an introducing broker for Dorman. My experience with them, over about 2 years, has been nothing short of excellent all round. I use Ninja/Zen-fire also.

Been watching CL as well. Even its activity has declined recently (although it's still a raging beast compared to the index futures).
