I think pairs trading is the ideal way to trade. More commisions, but more consistent. Takes some of the emotions(big market swings) out of the picture.

Does anybody know how long it takes to transfer from one prop firm to another? Moving all licenses required for trading (Series 7, 63, 55) Any comments would be appreciated.

You should get some experience before working the prop route. With 100K, it is hard to make a comfortable living. Take an job first and learn the ropes before putting up your own money. Prop trading will always be there for you to do.
